In this session we start to dig into patterns for using NHibernate to perform modifications to the data in our sample database by asking it to perform INSERT, UPDATE, and DELETE commands on our data.

Hey Steve,

Love this series. It's a bit slow moving, but if you have the time, it's very, very helpful.

With that said, I'm having issues getting the GetMyTestDataXMLFile to run. I'm using VS2K8 and have the Gallio Test Runner suite installed. And when trying to run the unit tests, it isn't executed GetMyTestDataXMLFile. It sees all the other tests and fixtures, but not that.

Thoughts?

Steve,

I cant begin to tell you how great this series is. Additionally, the proteus project is another fine example of your work. This is truly excellent material. I am excited to get through the Agile series. I have a long trip coming up so hopefully I can get through the entire series on the trip. Thanks again...

Bryan:

To which base class are you referring --? If the Microdesk.Domain.* hierarchy, this has been open-sourced under the Proteus Project at http://proteusproject.googlecode.com (and the namespace changed to Proteus.Domain.*

See this post for details:
http://unhandled-exceptions.com/blog/index.php/2009/03/16/proteus-unit-test-utility-and-domain-foundation-code-goes-oss/

If you were referring to something else, please let me know and I will see what I can do for you.

Hi Steve!
Great work on the Screencasts.

I'd like to adress what alberto mentioned in the beginning of the comments.

We just started a project with NHibernate and, from what i gather, NHibernate is fairly new in this world. So the documentation of 'real-world' examples are few. When we got the assignment to do this we started googling to the point of bleeding stumps of what once was fingers.

Now Alberto said that it was rather slow etc, I have to say i disagree. I think it's just the right speed for a comprehensive tutorial of a NHibernate setup.
However if you already know about NHibernate I can understand that it could get abit slow at times when you already have all the answers.

Steve, Thanks alot for helping us with this huge problem to overcome.
